Licensed Physicians Aesthetic Medicine Course

The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) is dedicated to teaching physicians who have a scientific and clinical interest in the specialty, and in developing or expanding their Aesthetic Medicine practice. AAAM teaches the art, science, techniques and procedures of Aesthetic Medicine to licensed physicians, regardless of specialty. We provide education and hands-on training, and disseminate leading edge information gathered from advances in North America and around the world to our members and course delegates.  Through our Board Certification courses offered worldwide, physicians gain comprehensive education and technical training in the evolving science of aesthetic medicine. AAAM is an educational and training organization; completion of any AAAM Course is not a license to practice.  AAAM Board Certified doctors - a significant achievement that confers are:

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in Aesthetic Medicine techniques and procedures

The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) is the 1st global leader in the Aesthetic Medicine specialty.  Founded in 1999, AAAM advances the art and science of Aesthetic Medicine and is dedicated to providing physicians with the latest scientific information,  highest patient care standards, and techniques through its educational courses, congresses, and publications.  AAAM emphasizes extensive hands-on training so as to ensure physicians are well-equipped. AAAM's International President, Dr. Michel Delune is one of the original four founding members of the UIME, and is Founder of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

Our Mission

The mission of AAAM is to lead the Aesthetic Medicine specialty in education and training and to advance the knowledge and practice of the specialty worldwide. AAAM seeks to enhance the competency and professionalism of aesthetic physicians in providing responsible, safe and a high standard of care their patients. AAAM achieves this through a faculty comprised of professionals who are actively involved in their own practices and possess extensive expertise in aesthetic medicine.

Our Vision & Goals

AAAM endeavors to raise standards of knowledge and skills through AAAM courses through closer collaboration with other aesthetic medicine bodies; ethics advocacy; sharing the practice economics of aesthetic medicine; advocating that aesthetic medicine can complement conventional medicine and others such as dermatology, cosmetic or plastic surgery; and by organizing medical congresses and medical ventures summits.

AAAM is dedicated to providing doctors with training on the foundation of the science and art of aesthetic medicine. The practice of aesthetic medicine is not the sole prerogative of any single medical discipline. Yes, there are doctors who devote wholly to aesthetic medicine practice just as there are others who apply aesthetic medical procedures alongside their respective fields of medicine.
